Baisakhi Celebration at MRIS-46
Keeping up with the tradition of celebrating all the festivals with great fervour and gaiety, MRIS 46 celebrated the auspicious harvest festival of Baisakhi on 13th & 14th April, 2015. To mark the authenticity of the occasion, children were made aware of the historical background, significance and relevance of this festival. It was a treat to see the students dressed in colourful Punjabi traditional outfits, portraying the rich and vivid culture of Punjab. The primary & senior wing students showcased their talents in various forms in a slew of activities, out of which the most striking feature of the entire show was the lively Punjabi folk dance bhangra by grade V & VI students, respectively. As the assembly coincided with the birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar, students were also given information on this great leader, followed by a quiz . The assembly concluded with the school song and National Anthem.
