World Book Day

On the occasion of World Book Day on 23rd April 2012, an educational trip was organised for the students of Grades IV-VII to the Gurgaon Book Festival at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon.

 

When it comes to LOVE, MUM’s the word

To express their love and gratitude, the young MRIETS (Toddlers, Nursery, KG) at Sector 46, Gurgaon invited their mothers to school and organized fun filled activities for them. These included ‘Community Eating’ for Toddlers on 8th May, ‘Weird Hair Do and Tattoo Making’ for Nursery on 9th May, a ‘Glimpse of Traditional India’ for KG on the 10th May and Potter’s Wheel for all. Mothers shared their culinary skills, creativity, tradition and culture with students, teachers and each other.

Earth Day celebrations in MRIS

MRIS-46 celebrated Earth Day on 21st April 2012 which started with a special assembly with “GREEN EARTH IS MY HEAVEN” as the theme. The primary section was involved in composing and singing Earth Day songs, participating in student parade on “ elements of nature” and poster making and slogan making competitions, nature show and tell. Students of Grades IV & V organized a rally, took to slogan chanting and distributed pamphlets around Greenwood City, educating people about the benefits of saving water, power and other natural resources. The seniors participated in a sculpture making competition using fruits and vegetables.
