Workshop on ‘Good Eating’ at MRIS-46
A workshop on ‘Good Eating’ was conducted by Praveena from ‘Doctor on Call’, at MRIS 46 on 21st April 2015, for primary school children. The workshop was designed to get primary age children interested in eating healthy food, that will help them maintain a healthy life so that they may grow up with confidence and maintain a positive body image. The students were also shown some interesting theme related videos which sensitized them about poor diet , which has been identified as a factor in attention deficit, lethargy and behavioural problems in the classroom. In this interactive session, the students came up with numerous queries about food and diet and the ill-effects of eating wrong kind of food. The aim of organizing this workshop was to make a lasting difference to children’s lives and to their health by encouraging them to inculcate good eating habits.
